Powering Opportunity in Denmark
9.6 MW / 19.2 MWh of battery storage for energy trading and grid support
Multiboxx Energy has supplied six 20’ containerised battery energy storage systems for the first phase of a planned 70 MW / 140 MWh development in eastern Denmark’s DK2 electricity market.
Designed for professional aggregator operation, the systems enable the customer to capture electricity price differences through energy arbitrage and pursue additional revenue from grid services, including FCR-N, FCR-D and a FRR, subject to market qualification. This flexible approach allows battery capacity to be allocated across eligible markets as opportunities change.
The systems have arrived, with installation and commissioning expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

More Than Doubling Capacity of an excisting storage site in Denmark
Multiboxx Energy has delivered a 10’ High-Cube Battery Energy Storage System rated at 625 kW / 1,272 kWh to a Danish energy-arbitrage operator. The system will be installed at the customer’s site in Koege, south of Copenhagen, and connected to the DK2 electricity grid.
The customer already operated a 20’ BESS rated at 500 kW / 1,000 kWh. The new Multiboxx Energy system will operate in parallel with the existing installation, increasing the site’s combined capacity to:
Total power: 1,125 kW
Total energy capacity: 2,272 kWh
Multiboxx Energy will supply the fully integrated BESS and provide technical support to the customer’s commissioning team during installation, grid connection and system start-up.
